Silo filling level regulation by means of one limit switch

Filling of tanks is normally controlled by the signals of one upper and one lower limit switch (capacitive proximity switch). Installation of a second sensor is not required when a Proxitron sensor with integrated time delay is used. If the filling level falls below the desired value, a programmable delay between 1 s and 10 min. starts. Only after this time filling process starts until reaching the sensor level. Another advantage is a reduced filling frequency. This principle also works vice versa, using the lower limit value only.
