April 25, 2007, Depew, NY, USA - The Larson Davis division of PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) has announced a series of one-day seminars, entitled, “Principles of Acoustic Measurements.” The seminars, to be held on June 15th in Racine, Wisconsin; June 18th in Cincinnati, Ohio; June 20th in Irving, Texas and June 22nd in Houston, Texas, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day, will focus on basic acoustics, acoustic measurement instrumentation, environmental and industrial noise monitoring, with hands-on demonstrations. Specific topics will include:
The seminar is geared toward environmental noise consultants; safety, health and environmental managers; industrial hygienists; test engineers interested in acoustic measurement techniques using sound level meters; noise emissions technicians and engineers; product design engineers; and code enforcement officers and department managers.
Sessions will be facilitated by Chad Walber, Applications Engineer, Larson Davis. Mr. Walber is graduate of Michigan Technological University, and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. His specific areas of expertise include Data Acquisition, Sound Level Meters, and Human Body Vibration exposure measurement, as well as troubleshooting, application and test support of acoustic measurement instrumentation and equipment.
