Sales revenue of the Chinese motor market in 2009 is 16 billion yuan, declined by 16.7% compared with that of the same period of last year. At present with respect to the concentration degree of medium-voltage motor industry, CR4 reaches 30%, CR10 more than 50%, thus medium-voltage motor industry is in a state of low concentration and oligopoly.
Large enterprises in medium-voltage motor industry, possessing great variety of brands and product series, are superior in comprehensive strength and own stable market position; smaller enterprises, however, devote themselves to one or several particular motors and endeavor to dominate segment product markets.
Seen from development tendency, competition in the Chinese medium-voltage motor industry turns to be more intense. Existing large enterprises will expand production capacity through mergers and acquisitions or investing and building factories to obtain optimum economic benefits. The survival room for small companies will increasingly be condensed. Industry concentration will be improved somewhat in the future.
